Are you an experienced property professional?  Can you engage people and communicate plans in a clear, concise way?  Do you have a good eye for detail along with the skills and expertise to drive service delivery and to ensure our housing stock meets future decarbonisation targets and satisfies the Welsh Housing Quality Standard?  If so, we have an exciting job vacancy that might be just what you’re looking for.

About us

Newydd Housing Association currently owns and manages around 3,000 rented properties in mid and south Wales, working over seven local authority areas.  We are an award winning organisation gaining the Corporate Health Standard Gold and Investors in People status.

About the role

We are looking for a Head of Property to lead our Property team.  The role will manage our stock condition surveying programme and database to inform our property investment and maintenance programmes, manage our landlord Health and Safety compliance obligations and deliver our overall Asset Management Strategy.

You will lead the implementation of our new GIS software and will drive improvements to our existing data systems to ensure property data intelligence and analysis informs our programmes and option appraisals.  You will also be working closely with our in-house Maintenance, Customer Services, Housing and Development teams.

About you

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and enthusiastic individual who can lead and shape a high performing team and work effectively with colleagues to achieve positive outcomes. You will need a relevant degree level qualification along with a relevant professional qualification (such as CIOB or RICS) or be actively working towards gaining professional status.

You should have a proven track record of developing programmes of work and budgets, managing Health and Safety compliance and staff supervision or line management experience. A highly skilled communicator with strong interpersonal skills, you will thrive on working collaboratively and building strong working relationships with other teams.  You will be very IT literate and digitally focused with a passion for developing asset management systems to drive efficiencies and improve processes. You will have strong analytical skills to understand and interpret property data intelligence and make the right business decisions.

Continually improving is at the heart of what we do so the ability to be flexible and adaptable and to offer an innovative and creative approach is important to us.
