About us

Newydd Housing Association is an award-winning organisation that currently owns and manages around 3,000 rented properties in mid and south Wales, working in several local authority areas.

Newydd Maintenance Ltd is a subsidiary company which provides maintenance services to Newydd Housing Association and is built on an in-house contractor model, designed to drive quality customer services, whilst achieving substantial planned growth and expansion, potentially outside of the group.    

About the role

We are looking for a positive, proactive and energetic Maintenance Supervisor who can lead a team of trade operatives to deliver an effective and efficient repairs and maintenance service to ensure our properties are maintained to the highest standards and within legislative and quality standards.

Reporting to our Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day delivery of our services and you will contribute to the commercial viability of our work, whilst ensuring service demands and quality assurance are met at all times.

About you

You should have previous supervisory knowledge, experience and a working knowledge of all aspects of domestic property repairs, maintenance, planned services and property improvements.

With a minimum of Level 3 qualification in a relevant field, you will also need to be IT literate and be competent in Word, Excel and Outlook. You will be a role model for your people and be able to motivate and develop a high performing team.

This is a demanding and challenging role and you should enjoy working effectively under your own initiative and managing a busy workload, whilst also being a team player with great customer service and communication skills.

A full driving license and the use of a vehicle every working day is essential.  The post is subject to a DBS Check and a renewal check every three years.
