An opportunity has arisen for an Employment & Training Coach to join Cadarn’s housing team on a temporary basis.

Cadarn Housing Group is the parent of the Group and provides oversight and support services role. Newydd Housing Association is a charitable housing association, that offers nearly 3,000 affordable homes for rent and sale to people where need is at its greatest in Mid and South Wales, working in several local authority areas. Cadwyn Housing Association owns and manages 3,000 homes for affordable rent and low-cost home ownership as well as a range of community regeneration initiatives.
About the role
As an Employment & Training Coach you will provide expert guidance and support to individuals seeking employment, facilitating access to training and job opportunities. The role involves working with tenants to develop tailored employment plans, deliver one-to-one coaching, and collaborate with employers and community partners to enhance job placement outcomes. The role is also key to championing tenants' career development and financial stability, ensuring they have the tools and resources necessary to succeed in the job market and sustain occupational contracts.
About you
You will have a good standard of education, knowledge of local and national partnership agencies that support employment and address barriers to sustainable employment and training along with significant experience providing advice and guidance to help individuals progress towards employment and training.
As an Employment & Training Coach, you will need to be compassionate, empathetic and have the necessary people skills to build relationships and put people at ease. Previous experience of completing face to face employability training sessions and personal actions plans is essential along with the skills to manage a caseload, achieve successful outcomes and apply mentoring techniques in a person-centered approach.
A driving license and use of a vehicle is essential for this post. The post is also subject to a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) Check and a renewal check every three years.
